JRDS, as part of our Pre-Vocational Services, operates a Aluminum Beverage Can recycling program at both our Jay County Center (901 East Water St. Portland, IN 47371) and Randolph County Center (974 East Base Road, Winchester, IN 47394). 

Customers bringing in cans may either donate their cans to help support the mission of JRDS or receive the going rate per pound for aluminum cans. Please see below for details.

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 2:30 PM.

**Donations of cans are accepted as well. 

Pricing:

EFFECTIVE May 13, 2022:        $0.50 per lb.

*Any single load of 100 lbs. or more will receive a 5¢ bonus! 

PLEASE NOTE: For the safety of our can workers, we ask all customers to empty their own bags of cans into one of the provided bins.

We offer this recycling as a service to the community.  This can operation also provides work opportunities for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities which help to develop their work and social skills.
